Privacy Policy

This document is an initial working version prepared for the launch of BGL.STUDIO. It is not legal advice, and it requires review by qualified legal counsel before full commercial reliance.

Who we are

BGL Studio (“BGL”, “we”) operates bgl.studio, a preview-first website service for established businesses. For privacy matters, contact hello@bgl.studio.

What we collect

Submission data — the business URL you share, business details (name, country, industry, website status, objective), and contact details (name, work email, role, preferred contact method and language, optional phone number).
Technical data — a one-way salted hash derived from your IP address (used only for abuse prevention; the raw address is not stored), your browser’s user-agent string, the referring page, and campaign parameters (UTM) if present.
Public business information — information already publicly available at the URL you submit, used solely to assess and prepare a concept.

Why we collect it

To review your request and assess the improvement opportunity.
To prepare a private website concept where a request is qualified.
To respond to you about your request, using your preferred method.
To prevent abuse of the submission form.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not add you to marketing lists. Submitting a request is a service enquiry, not a marketing opt-in.

Legal basis

Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we process submission data because it is necessary to take steps you request prior to entering a contract (assessing and responding to your enquiry), and technical abuse-prevention data on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.

Retention

Lead records are kept while your request is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for accountability. Unused preview concepts are deleted automatically. You may request deletion at any time.

Sharing

Data is shared only with the infrastructure providers needed to operate the service (hosting and database on Railway; transactional email delivery). These providers process data on our behalf.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and objection. Contact hello@bgl.studio and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe. Business owners can also request removal of a preview via the removal request page.

Analytics

If analytics is enabled on this site, it is a privacy-conscious, cookie-free service used in aggregate form only. We do not use invasive session recording.

Language preference

We store a single functional cookie (bgl_locale) only when you explicitly choose a language, so the site opens in that language next time. It contains no personal data and is not used for tracking.
